DIUCAPS™: Non-Stimulant Appetite Control for Weight Management Patients

DIUCAPS™ delivers a therapeutic dose of L-Phenylalanine, an essential amino acid that acts as a biological precursor to the neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine, and supports normal levels of the gut hormones that regulate appetite and satiety. Because it works through amino acid and neurotransmitter pathways rather than stimulants, it’s an option for practices that want an appetite-control product outside the stimulant category.

How It Works

L-Phenylalanine has been described in research as a strong trigger for cholecystokinin (CCK), a hormone that produces feelings of fullness and food satisfaction, which can reduce overall food intake [1,2]. It also converts in the brain and adrenal glands to dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, neurotransmitters that are often depleted by stress and overwork. Vitamin B6 and Vitamin C act as cofactors that support this conversion.

Why Practices Use Diucaps for Post-GLP-1 Maintenance

As patients taper off GLP-1 medications, appetite often returns before new eating habits are fully established. DIUCAPS™ gives practices a non-stimulant, non-controlled option to support appetite management during that transition, without adding another prescription to the patient’s regimen.

Who It's For

  • Medical weight loss and bariatric clinics
  • Providers managing patients tapering off GLP-1 medications
  • Any practice wanting a non-stimulant, non-controlled appetite-control option for patients
